LIVE AUCTIONS AT ART ALL NIGHT

Art All Night will be hosting several live auctions throughout the evening for paintings created during Art All Night’s Onsite Art collaborations. These unique paintings are each created in the chaos of a Saturday night at Art All Night by a pair of matched artists. 100% of proceeds go to future Art All Night events.

Come and take away a piece of Lawrenceville’s annual grassroots art show! Bids start at the low price of $50. Credit cards will be accepted for this portion of the event. Come early and prebook a bid for your favorite piece!

The Children’s Section for Art All Night 16 still needs 36 Volunteers! Volunteer HERE. For the kids. Because they want to do

  • Bubble Painting: Pop paint bubbles and see the pattern they make
  • Button Making: Make buttons out of recycled printed material or your own original drawings
  • Cardboard City: Make a box fort and tunnel out of many boxes of different sizes
  • Continue the Story: This parent-child activity has the parent continue a storyline and the child draws the idea on a roll of paper
  • Paint Catapult: Project paint from a catapult into a spinning canvas to create a cooperative painting
  • Weaving: Upcycle a CD by wrapping it with yarn to weave with fabric and ribbon to make a hanging decoration or a coaster

Please check the website for any updates or changes to the children’s performances and activities. If you want to volunteer, but working with kids isn’t your strong point, there are plenty of other opportunities HERE.

Anonymous asked: Where might I find a schedule of bands playing + time slots? Thanks!

The major performance slots have finally been chosen! Through a lottery system. The schedule will be going up on the Art All Night website (soon!) and copies will likely be posted at the event, near the stages. We had a lot of interested, talented bands, musicians, and performers throw their names in the hat this year and we’re sorry we don’t have more time slots to fit everyone in.

Art All Night would like to thank everyone who expressed interest in entertaining! Thank you for sharing your love of the arts with us. See you this weekend!

CALL FOR VIDEOS
Art All Night is seeking video submissions for Art All Night 16’s VIDEO LOUNGE. You may remember last year’s video lounge as The Warmest Room in the Warehouse. This year it will be comfy and in a new area of the development building but it still needs YOUR VIDEOS to make it complete. Submission guidelines are above.
Can’t get enough of Art All Night? Volunteer two hours to this free event!

acemanspaceman asked: When and where should I drop off my submissions?

Art All Night submissions need to be dropped off at the site on Saturday, April 27, 2013, between 10am and 2pm. You can cut down your queue time by pre-registering your art online. You can also help cut down the queue time for everybody by volunteering here (this goes for everyone—tell your friends!) We are currently 200 volunteers short right now and every 2 hour shift helps.

Please keep in mind that it is ONE piece of artwork per artist. So while your piece may consist of more than one panel or several pieces in a diorama, it must be considered a SINGLE piece of artwork. Thank you for being part of a show and we will see you next weekend! Have fun!

Anonymous asked: How do you reserve a space for a piece of art? Are there size restrictions? Media groups?

We love unusual pieces and we want you to have room! If your art piece is large, heavy, or may otherwise need some special planning to set up, let us know. Send an email to info(at)artallnight(dot)org. We’d be happy to figure it out with you.

acemanspaceman asked: Has the deadline for signing up for cartooning all night already passed?

When it comes to Cartooning All Night, forget deadlines! Come and be a part of it! And tell your friends.

Submission guidelines are HERE. See you April 27 and 28, 2013!

DONATE to Art All Night

As Art All Night 16 draws closer, we continue our search for more help and more supplies. Now might be a good time to do some spring cleaning and donate the items listed below. (You have these laying around the house, right?)

Here’s what we’re looking for to do participatory art, onsite painting, cartooning, and children’s art. (Think of the children!) We’ll have thousands of people coming through for Art All Night, so the more supplies, the better.

  • LARGE Bristol Board
  • LARGE Cardboard Boxes
  • Green Paint
  • Blue Paint
  • Black Paint
  • Black Fine Sharpies
  • Scissors
  • Duct Tape
  • Clear Contact Paper
  • Brushes
  • Markers
  • Chalk
  • Straws (Drinking, not Bales of)
  • Colored Tissue Paper

We’ll be at the space this Saturday and next Saturday from 10AM - 2PM.  You can drop off donations or help us with pre-buildout. Check out the Art All Night: Lawrenceville Facebook Page for location or email us at info (at) artallnight.org with any questions.

Thank you for your time, art, and generosity. Keep Art All Night FREE! No judge. No jury. No censorship.
